To  friends and family who might be interested in watching Annie and the kids of Team New England take on the rest of the country to see who can slide fastest on accumulated ice crystals in Fairbanks, AK. Racing starts Monday!

  Congrats to Annie as finished  third and second in the races in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Amazing!!

An explanation of the 10 different divisions can be found on the US Ski and Snowboard website. Aside from the individual component, the divisions compete for the Alaska Cup which goes to the division with the most points. Some of you know this, but last year New England won the cup. It’s traditionally been a battle between Alaska and New England, but last year the Midwest came on strong. 

In addition to Annie (who'll be listed as Annelies), there are some other local friends to root on as well: Maria Anderson, Ann Rightmire and Simon Phipps are all amazing teammates of Annie’s from Ford Sayre, competing in the U18 division. Addison Englund, from Plymouth, NH is a good friend competing in the U18 division. And David Northcott from Walpole, NH is competing in the U16 boys category. Amber is traveling with Addie and David’s moms.

Monday, March 13 is the 7.5k Interval start Classic. Girls race at 5pm ET. 

Tuesday, March 14 is the Skate Sprint. Girls’ qualifier is at 1pm. Girls’ Heats begin at 4:30pm ET

Wednesday, off/training day

Thursday, March 16 is the 5K Skate Mass Start U16 Girls go at 2:30PM ET, now this will be fun to watch!
