Concession Sales 3/3

Student Athletes,

If you are available we could use your support in manning a concession stand this evening.

It will be from 4:55pm until the end of the 2nd game at the Hanover Street School entrance way. You do not need to stay for the entire time but it would be good to have coverage throughout the duration of the event.

When you arrive please check in with Coach Andy and Coach Regina.

Please contact anyone of the coaching staff with your intentions of attending.

Winter Skills Session Over Winter Recess

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am emailing you today to communicate that we will be holding winter skills sessions over the winter recess break.

We currently have the gym at the SAU scheduled for Monday and Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8pm, along with Saturday 9am to 11am.

If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Fundraiser Opportunities 2/18 and 2/25

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am emailing you today to communicate an opportunity for us to do a little additional fundraising prior to the season starting. The A.D.'s office is looking for people to run the concession stand on the 18th and 25th. Proceeds from the concessions stand will go towards the softball teams fundraiser account. These funds allow us the ability to purchase training equipment that will benefit our program and reduce costs on spirit wear.

If you are available to assist with the concession on either night please let me know.

Those interested need to be at the entrance to the Hanover Street School by 5:15 pm to help set up and can plan on being at the event until approximately 7:30pm. If you can not be there for the full amount of time that is not a problem as I will be there for the duration of the event.

Winter Skills Session 1/20 - 1/25

Good Evening Everyone,

I am emailing you this evening to communicate our schedule for this week.

We are scheduled to meet Saturday morning at 9 am in the SAU gym. We will not be meeting on Monday as school is closed for Civil Rights Day and Wednesday I am unavailable to hold sessions as I have another meeting I must attend.

I would like to take a minute to remind everyone that our season is rapidly approaching. We have all worked extremely hard year over year to make the most gains for our team and our softball family. For those returning this coming season, you all know how fast the time goes and we do not have a lot of time in season to refine all those essential basic fundamentals. I strongly encourage any one that has the available time in their schedule to try and attend as many sessions as possible. This will help us hit the ground running in March at the start of the season.

I will reiterate that the winter skill sessions is absolutely voluntary. However I can not emphasise how important it is to stay on top of our game by capitalizing on the opportunity of being able to work throughout the winter.

If there are any questions, please reach out and I will do everything I can answer your questions as quickly as possible.

I do greatly apologize but I have to regretfully cancel tomorrow's session. I have come down with the awful head cold that has been going around my house and I do not want to risk passing it along to anyone.

Winter Skill Session Starting Back up

I hope everyone had a good holiday break and enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate with friends, family, and loved ones.

Winter Skills Session Wk of 12/9 - 12/14

Greetings,

I am sending out this communication this evening to review this weeks skill sessions schedule. We have the gym schedule for Monday the 9th, Wednesday the 11th, and Saturday the 14th. Monday will be more work on throwing skills, focusing on form for long distance throwing and short distance throwing. Wednesday I unfortunately have to CANCEL as I have an appointment I can not miss. Saturday we will continue working with pitchers and catchers independently (if you are pitching please try to bring your own person to catch for you). The batting cage will also be set up as well during the Saturday session.
It was amazing to see all of you that could make it this past week. There was some great energy and chemistry in the gym and I feel I can confidently say for the group that we all had a great experience.

I look forward to seeing you all again this week.

Winter Skills Session 12/4

Good Evening Everyone,

I look forward to see all those who can attend tomorrow evening at 6:30pm, at the SAU gym. To access the gym, coaches and participants will need to use the rear staircase at the back of the building. The access code to enter the gym is 137478. Please do not share this access code on any broad based media or other media outlets. In addition some reminders about policies and protocol.

No student is to access the building unless accompanied by a coach or administrator.
we are only granted access to the gym space and adjoining bathrooms, students should not be in any other part of the building
Students, Coaches, and parents/volunteers must access the building through the rear staircase on the back of the building.

I would also like to ask that when traveling to and from practice, students wear weather appropriate footwear and bring with them athletic shoes to change into. This will help keep our space clean and safe for practices.

In addition to email I will also communicating through Big Teams which is the communication media provided by the school. If you do not already have a "Fan Account" one can be created on the Lebanonraiders.org website. Once the account is created and you select the criteria to receive notification and information regarding softball you will receive any information or communications that I post. The redundancy is very important and helpful to be sure to communicate across all fronts. If you have any questions or need assistance please let me know.

For tomorrow we will be focusing on the following

Equipment set up
Warm up and stretching routines
Throwing warm up and exercises
Fielding ground ball work

As always, if there are any questions or concerns please let me know and I will try to answer them as quickly as possible.
