ATHLETIC AGREEMENT AND PHYSICAL

Anyone interested in trying out for cheerleading beginning on August 15, 2016 MUST have a signed athletic agreement that day and a current physical on file with either your coach or the school. Athletic agreements can be found on this website under parent info/forms. You can turn in your proof of physical to myself or fax it to the school directly. ANYONE WITHOUT A SIGNED ATHLETIC AGREEMENT OR CURRENT PHYSICAL WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE.

Winter Parent and Athlete Meeting

Hi all,

This is a meeting replacing our individual sport meetings. Please let your parents know about this meeting and plan on attending if you are trying out for basketball cheer.

Parents and Participants:
The actual preseason parent and team organizational meeting has been moved to Nov 15 6 pm in the gym
.We have the opportunity to have a guest speaker John Kesty for the first 30-40 min. All indications are that
he has a very powerful message to share with our athletes regarding the dangers of substance use in athletics.
Although this is not necessarily the way we would like to begin our seasons, it is the only time we will gather as an entire group.
We will then follow up with adjournment by sport to assigned classrooms.

A reminder that all participants should come to this meeting with the following
1. Signed Co- Curriuclar Code of Conduct:see parent info /forms on this website
	Indicating that you have read and understand the contents of the Co- curricular Handbook
	This need only be signed once per school year.
	This contract also indicates that you have given your son/daughter permission to participate in all co-curricular activities
	Indicates you understand the risks involved with the activity your son/daughter is participating in
2.PHYSICAL EXAMINATION		see parent info /forms on this website
	A copy of physical examination is required before participation in athletic activities is permitted.
	Any ninth grade student or transfer student involved in athletics will be required to have a physical form,
	not more than a year old, completed by a physician prior to starting practice.
	Physicals are required every two years thereafter for all athletes.

Cheer Clinic

I have been contacted several times to see if we can do another cheer clinic before tryouts. I will be holding another clinic on Tuesday, August 9 from 5-6:30 at LHS for anyone interested in attending.

Cheer clinic RAIN LOCATION

In case of weather, the cheer clinic for tonight will be held from 5-6:30 at LHS in the cafeteria. If the weather hold off, we will still be outside.

Cheer Clinic on Thursday, 7/28/16

We will be holding an optional cheer clinic for those interested in cheering for the 2016-2017 school year. The clinic will be held at LHS from 5-6:30 on Thursday, July 28, 2016. If you are interested in attending, please contact Coach Darcy Sylvestre.

Cheer Tryouts 2016-2017

Tryouts will be August 15-August 19 at the high school. We will practice Monday through Thursday from 5-7 and tryouts will be on Friday from 5-6. The team will be posted to the LHS athletics page some time Friday night. Please be sure you have an up to date physical and a signed co-curricular agreement BEFORE we begin or you will not be able to participate.
